I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts system. I received my B.A. in History from UMass Amherst and my M.Ed. from UMass Boston. Prior to teaching, I worked in management and human resources for several years. I was driven to pursue my education degree because I strongly believe that literacy (in its many forms) is essential to being successful, and all children deserve the opportunity to receive a quality education that emphasizes literacy and communication skills. This is my second year teaching at Breed Middle School; I previously taught in Somerville and Milton.
When I'm not in the classroom, I can be found spending time with friends and family. I am a lifelong student; to that end, I am always reading a new book. I consider myself to be part of the sad species known as Boston sports fans.
